Music Access Fellowship

Music Access For All Youth In Miami

We're Investing $1,000,000
in Miami's Music Leaders

We want all youth in Miami to have access to the power of music.

There are more than 60 disparate organizations focused on increasing music access in Miami, but in large part they are working separately. If we want all kids to have access to high quality music programming, we need to work together, and we need to invest in the collective power of our region's best music, education, and innovation leaders.

In 2019 we will be investing a total of $1,000,000 through a one-year experimental fellowship focused on collective impact. If you share our mission of bringing music to youth in Miami, we hope you'll be part of this initiative.

What would happen if local organizations collaborated with one another to accomplish things that neither of them could do alone?

In order to apply to this Fellowship, applicants had to pair up with at least one other partner to propose a way they could combine forces to bring music to youth in Miami. Each collaboration will be eligible to receive between $50,000 and $150,000 to support the initial phase of their pilot collaboration.

This Fellowship is being incubated by Radical Partners with leadership from philanthropist and music enthusiast Daniel Lewis. Daniel Lewis has generously pledged to invest $1,000,000 to fund the pilot projects led by the first cohort of Fellows. Radical Partners is a Miami-based accelerator working to scale social impact solutions with support from Knight Foundation, The Miami Foundation, Citi Foundation and others.
